HERPES VACCINE IN DEVELOPMENT FAILS DURING CLINICAL TRIALSVical Inc. said its genital herpes vaccine didn’t meet the primary endpoint in a Phase 1/Phase 2 clinical trial. Scientists grow cartilage to reconstruct nose
Scientists report first ever successful nose reconstruction surgery using cartilage grown in the laboratory. Cartilage cells were extracted from the patient's nasal septum, multiplied and expanded onto a collagen membrane. Pioneering dermatologist Dr Fredric Brandt, an early proponent of Botox who treated celebrities including singer Madonna, has been found dead.
